A Symphony of Layers
Alex’s work in this series transforms still-life photography into a mesmerizing visual symphony. By layering multiple images of the same floral arrangement, he creates a dreamlike effect where each bloom seems to move and breathe. The technique—often referred to as composite layering—infuses the traditional still-life genre with a sense of depth and motion, blurring the line between photography and painting. The soft, textured backgrounds and delicate interplay of colors give each piece an ethereal quality, inviting the viewer to linger and explore the hidden details within every layer.

A New Perspective on Still Life
With this project, Alex redefined the concept of still life, presenting flowers not as static objects but as evolving, dynamic forms. The layered approach reveals multiple perspectives in a single frame, capturing the essence of fleeting moments that converge into something timeless. His careful attention to detail and composition highlights the inherent beauty of imperfection, as petals overlap and colors blend into each other. The result is a collection that feels both organic and surreal—a poetic exploration of texture, color, and the passage of time.
